......AND THEY ARE NOT..! As a wonderful season of guiding is apparently coming towards its end, I seem to be as busy as ever. All due to the fact that you find things exciting. And say "yes". So, between tours I have been busying away, trying to remember how to use powerpoint.... Excited to be presenting at an event tomorrow for Conwy Council - a Food and Drink Showcase. I'm presenting a session called " Food for Thought - A visitor perspective". Its been a lot of work but really enjoyed focusing on it and quite surprised myself with the end product. Considering I"d not used powerpoint since leaving Uni in 2015.... I did have some help though - thank you - you know who you are ;-)

Exciting times here at the bwthyn!
Just to explain, "bwthyn" is the Welsh word for a cottage, and no doubt you'll learn more about the bwthyn as I get to grips with..... hold your breath...... learning to construct/reconstruct a website, as well as keep it updated. I'm surprising myself actually, as I am currently partaking in what is known as "Eating the Frog", which I've been advised by a very reliable source means 'doing the most difficult or dreaded things first', before moving on to more pleasurable activities. So, I have finally resurrected the old ATGOF site from my University days - now to be transformed into a website that incorporates both my Tourist Guiding work and my creative work. However, I'd much rather be outside in the sunshine than struggling (in vain so far) to upload new photographs. Those of you that know me personally, I'm sure you can picture me itching to get out there to work in the garden - and close the lid on this laptop! I hope to become very good at updating this site, but in the meantime you can catch me on the ATGOF - MAKING MEMORIES IN WALES facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Atgof There's also a TripAdvisor page that you are most welcome to visit, and it would be a real treat if you could also write a review if I''ve had the pleasure of your company on one of my tours. My sincere thanks in advance! www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g186437-d26800220-Reviews-Atgof_Making_Memories_in_Wales_Rhian_Jones_Wales_Official_Blue_Badge_Tourist_Gui.html Y sioe derfynol wedi bod yn llwyddiant mawr, diolch i bawb ddaeth yno i weld yr arddangosfa, ac i bawb weithiodd mor galed i wneud siwr bod pob dim yn mynd yn rhwydd. Mae gwaith nifer ohonom nawr wedi ei lwytho mewn fan fawr yn barod i fynd i Lundain ar gyfer arddangosfa graddedigion "Dyluniwyr Newydd" wythnos nesaf 'ma. Cyffrous!
The final Degree Show was a great success, and thank you to all that visited the exhibition, and to everyone who worked so hard to make it all happen. Our work has now been packed in a van ready to travel to London. A number of us are exhibiting at "New Designers" graduate show in Islington this next week. Exciting! Braf gweld bod lluniau o"r cregyn ar eu teithiau yn dod i fewn i dudalen Facebook. - tarwch olwg arnynt, llawer mwy ar y dudalen: https://www.facebook.com/Atgof
Good to see that photographs of the shells on their travels are being posted to the Facebook page - have a look, there's many more under "posts to page" on Facebook/atgof: https://www.facebook.com/Atgof Some of my shells were available to be taken away from Llanddwyn during my installation on the island on 3 May 2015. Each shell is different, each one handmade by hot forging. Each shell is special to me, the ones I retain hold special memories and meaning. If you acquired one of the shells I created, it is for you to attach your own new meaning or memory. The shells can be a talisman taking you back to a special place, or a love token, or whatever you choose. Roedd rhai o'r cregyn ar gael i ymwelwyr fynd a nhw oddi ar yr ynys yn ystod y gosodiad ar Ynys Llanddwyn ar 3 Mai 2015. Mae pob cragen yn wahanol, pob un wedi ei gwneud gyda llaw, drwy boeth ofannu. Mae pob cragen yn arbennig yn eu ffordd eu hunnain - mae'r rhai yr wyf yn eu cadw i mi fy hun yn cynnal atgofion a chanddynt ystyr unigryw i mi yn bersonnol. Os oes un o'r cregyn nawr yn eich meddiant, mae i fyny i chi i ymrwymo ystyr neu atgof newydd i'ch cragen unigryw. Gall fod yn dalisman i fynd a chi yn ôl i le arbennig, yn docyn neu arwydd o cariad, neu beth bynnag y dewisiwch. |
